The TREK (stands for our values: Truth, Relationships, Experience, Knowledge) Service Award recognizes one of Pillar Group’s associates who consistently goes above and beyond expectations.
The 3rd quarter associate winner, Sarah Richmond, started her career at Pillar Group in 2006 as a Customer Service Agent in our Personal Insurance Department. She transferred to our Commercial Insurance Department as an Account Coordinator prior to being promoted to a Commercial Account Manager in 2009, working with Jim Ratliff, Joe “Butch” Doan, and Dan Touw. Sarah has held licenses in Life/ Health and Property/Casualty since 1982. She earned the Accredited Customer Service Representative (IACSR) designation in 2008 and is currently working toward the Certified Insurance Counselor designation.
Sarah has always openly volunteered to assist others not only within the Commercial Insurance Department but throughout the agency regardless of the type of help that was needed.
Congratulations Sarah!

Coapstick Insurance Agency operations consolidated with Pillar Group Risk Management, Inc. in the Indianapolis Office

In 2006, Coapstick Insurance Agency partnered with Pillar Group Risk Management in Indianapolis. This association provided greater opportunities that could be passed on to our customers in the Frankfort/Clinton County community (i.e. more coverage options, access to more companies where we could place insurance coverage and in many cases reduced cost to our customers).

In an effort to more efficiently service our customers with continued commitment and professionalism, we consolidated our resources by combining the operations of Coapstick Insurance Agency with the Indianapolis office of Pillar Group Risk Management effective January 1, 2010.

Pillar Group started a “Good Deed Day” program empoweringemployees to volunteer one day of their time - with pay – in a program or organization that benefits the health and well-being of the community in which they live.

Employees Participating in the program so far share their experiences:

Paula Crandall – Noblesville Fire Department – Providing Christmas for Families In Need

Tuesday I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Noblesville Fire Department with my son Tyler. It’s amazing I have lived in Noblesville my entire life and never took the time to give back to a community that I love.

Tyler and I helped pack up food that would be delivered to families in need. Above are a few pictures showing tables that we had to sort the food into groups and then pack individual boxes with certain items.

Things started to get a little crazy, so Tyler and I took on the task of putting boxes together.

Thanks to Pillar’s generosity I was able to spend time with my son and to learn together how important it is to give back to those less fortunate in the community for which we live in.
